PATRONS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
Patrons should telephone The Capitol Theatre Box Office directly to arrange wheelchair seating on (02) 9320 5000. There are no steps in the Stalls, so it is best for people with limited mobility to be positioned here. A number of seats located in the Stalls (seat number 16, Rows C through to J) have arms which can be swung in and out if patrons can be transferred from their wheelchair.
Stalls seating is recommended as there are no stairs in the Stalls once inside the auditorium. Patrons preferring to sit in the Dress Circle should be advised that depending upon seating allocation, there are numerous stairs to negotiate, although these stairs are at an easy grade. There is lift access to the Dress Circle located near Door 6 (Row D, Seat 1).
Guide dogs are permitted into The Capitol Theatre. The Box Office staff can make the best arrangements for customers to suit their specific requirements. Please call (02) 9320 5000.
There is a hearing loop in place throughout most of the theatre for people with hearing difficulties. This aid is available to persons with hearing aids with a “T” switch and can be booked through the box office on (02) 9320 5000.
